Casey and I went to go see The Spiderwick Chronicles tonight. I know, I know. I'm 26yo watching kid movies, fuck off. haha. Ever sense David Bowie has been wearing tights I've loved fantasy movies. This one was so so. Great story, great design, even great kid actors. The only this that took away from it for me was they kept hinting at how big and grand the "fantastical world" was but they only ever focused on a small group of characters. The fantasy that was there was good; I was just expecting more. Guess I'm not a kid anymore. (even if the movie did make me cry. tehe.) Though now that I think about it. Most kids now-a-days (gasp I sound old) only want to see the fighting, violence, and discontent in most all action pack movies?
Rating: * * * (if you have six year olds at home. Bring them. They'll enjoy it.)
